The Company was established in 1979 by Al Osborn and Richard Vane. After being principals previously in their own practice, they formed Osborn & Vane Architects Inc.
Each project team is led by a principal or officer serving as the team’s manager. In this way, our clients always have access to the total resources of the firm and the firm’s consultants through a senior member of the firm, responsive to the planning, programming, scheduling, aesthetic and economic objectives of the client.
Through diversity we offer greater experience and imagination when finding solutions to the project needs of our clients. The range of our experience extends through a variety of building and use types and includes new construction, tenant improvements as well as exterior renovations.

Ben Sundin is responsible for serving the ongoing needs of the firm’s clients including assessment, schematic design, budget and project management, quality and cost control.
In 1990, he received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Houston and was licensed to practice architecture by the State of Texas in 2005. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Texas Society of Architects, NCARB and is a LEED AP Building Design + Construction accredited professional.
Mr. Sundin has been with Osborn & Vane Architects, Inc. since 1990, serving as designer, project architect and project manager. He is proficient in AutoCAD and supervises the company’s graphic software needs. In recent years, he has served as Project Architect for numerous commercial developments in and around the Houston area.
He became President at the firm in 2019.

Thomas Jason Chapman is responsible for serving the ongoing needs of the firm’s clients, including assessment, schematic design, budget and project management, quality and cost control.
In 1991, he received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Houston and was licensed to practice architecture by the State of Texas in 1995. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Texas Society of Architects and UH Alumni Association. He also is a committee member of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 1772.
Mr. Chapman has been with Osborn & Vane Architects, Inc. since 1994, serving as designer, project architect and project manager. He is proficient in AutoCAD and supervises the company’s quality assurance program. In recent years, he has served as Project Architect for numerous commercial developments in and around the Houston area.
He became a Vice-President at the firm in 2006.
